Water for Life is the European Union website dedicated to scientific research within the Water Initiative of the European Union.
The objective of the Initiative is to promote the mobilization and partnerships between science, public, private and non-governmental actors from Europe and other partners in other countries and regions around the world to achieve the Millennium goals.
The European Union aims to halve by 2015 the number of people without access to safe water and sanitation. Secondly want to generalize the adoption and practice of integrated watershed management based on knowledge and innovation.
Scientific communities around the world are called to participate actively in the identification of problems of society to direct their research toward them.
In this sense, this website offers a wide range of information on research results in cooperation in Europe and promotes building bridges of understanding between Europe and other partners.
