International Conference on Priority Pollutants in River Basins (Karlsruher Flussgebietstage)
Thu, 26/05/2011 / Fri, 27/05/2011
The EU Environmental Quality Standard Directive requests Member States to establish an inventory of emissions, discharges and losses of all priority substances for all River Basin Districts (RBD) / national parts of an international RBD. This task requires appropriate data and approaches for the description of the given status and the evaluation of suitable measures. In this context the conference will bring together recent research and the latest knowledge from different perspectives and European Member States.
In addition, a newly developed tool for Modelling of Regionalized Emissions (MoRE) based on the concepts of MONERIS, will be presented. During the breaks and at the end of the conference a trial version will be available to get a first insight into the structure and performance of the model system.
