Benchmarking and performance assessment are by now well known techniques to the water industry. However, it is in the past few years that we are beginning to witness a tremendous increase in the number of projects and initiatives that are being developed. Next march, in Valencia, the foremost experts on the topic will gather to discuss new approaches and to expand the networking possibilities while discussing new collaborations.

Pi2011 will be a great opportunity to join the newly created IWA Specialist Group on Benchmarking and Performance Assessment. Given the prominent role that IWA has played on the topic in the past, the BPA SG is likely to host thrilling discussions and advances on the topic. Additionally, the new IWA Benchmarking framework will be discussed in a training workshop presented by the authors of the upcoming manual of best practice.
