RISKBASE Final Conference and Parliamentarian Evening

RISKBASE Final Conference and Parliamentarian Evening

RISKBASE

Mon, 16/11/2009 / Wed, 18/11/2009

RISKBASE has focused in the last three years on preparing the floor for an integrative approach for understanding and managing the multi-compartment soil-sediment-water system at the river-basin scale. It has become an integrative platform and a stepping stone towards advanced river basin management planning, further policy development, risk based management of soil-sediment-water systems and the development of a research agenda related to risk based river basin management.

At its final conference RISKBASE invites you to take notice of, and discuss new aspects and future perspectives in river basin management planning (RBMP). The event will start with a “Parliamentarian Evening” at the Club University Foundation in Brussels on November 16th to discuss major findings and needs in a more generic atmosphere on an institutional level with EP members, member state representatives, decision makers, EC DG employee’s interest groups and others. On November 17th and 18th the conference will continue with more in depth presentations and discussions at the Public Waste Agency of Flanders (OVAM) in Mechelen.
