University of Rajasthan, Jaipur and Association of Geo-environmentalists
Wed, 19/03/2008 / Sat, 22/03/2008
It is commonly recognized that increasing human interferences with the water cycle, as well as climate variability and change, pose risks to groundwater resources. This conference will look into ways to protect and sustain groundwater resources. It will also present the more recent technological and scientific developments associated with the behavior of groundwater dynamics under changing local, regional and global scenarios. Issues related to groundwater quality, quantity, management and planning shall also be looked into. The conference will be an opportunity to bring together scholars, scientists, experts and researchers confronting end users from different user sectors, managers, decision makers and stakeholders from universities, institutes, agencies and authorities all over the world to discuss and develop a general framework for optimizing groundwater management and control for sustainable development.
