3rd Regional Workshop on Water Demand Management (WDM) in the Mediterranean, Progress and Policies

This workshop is organized by PlanBleu, in collaboration with GWP Mediterranean secretariat, the Mediterranean Water Institute, the International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (ICAMAS), Medwet and MIO-ECSDE. It will be based on the presentation of national reports carried out in the voluntary countries, regional studies & papers. The local & national studies will aim to document concrete examples of good practices and to measure the progress actually made over the last years in terms of WDM in the main sectors of use (agricultural water, drinking water, industrial water), factoring natural water needs for the ecosystems into policies and factoraing WDM into water and cooperation policies. Participants who are likely to attend include water directors, the expert authors of the national reports, experts representing regional institutions, donors and lenders, local authorities, agricultural organisations.
