This conference aims to brief a wide ranging audience on the ongoing work on Environmental Standards and how it interacts with other work streams, including monitoring, policy development (the partial Regulatory Impact Assessment) and River Basin Planning including developing the Programme of Measures (POM).
The objectives of the conference are to:
• brief and update delegates on Environmental Standards and how they will be used to deliver interacting WFD work streams
• explain how delivery is likely to involve a wider range of organizations and partners
• explain how the adaptive-management and the risk-based approaches will be used to underpin implementation of the Directive.
