This symposium is targeting several objectives, out of which are the following:
• feasibility of constructing dams on arid zones
• advantages and disadvantages of dams construction
• dam construction impacts on the environment
• international experience exchange in the field of dam studying and construction
• private sector role in dam construction and management.
