The main objective of the workshop will be to review the existing flood forecasting technologies mountainous environments with a special focus on the Himalayan and sub-Himalayan region. The outcome of the workshop should help to improve the management of flood forecasting not only in the mountainous region, but in the adjoining plain areas as well.
