This conference will provide an opportunity for the transfer of knowledge and debate of the following ideas on soils as the first filter of water, stream-aquifer interactions, baseflow, seepage faces, unsaturated zone, seawater intrusion, saline groundwater discharge to streams, stormwater discharge and management, Pacific Island hydrology, conjunctive water management, protection of springs and groundwater dependent ecosystems, tsunami impacts, geothermal resources and system from both sides of the Tasman and internationally.
This conference will heighten awareness, from how topical problems such as increasing nutrient discharges or salinity are being addressed by scientists and regulators, to new methodologies for technical assessment or analysis in problem solving.
