Resource Conservation and Environmental Management Conference

Resource Conservation and Environmental Management Conference

Sociedad Americana de Conservación de Suelos y Aguas

Sat, 22/07/2006 / Wed, 26/07/2006

This year the conference will focus on the following areas:
• Advances in the understanding of the fundamental physical, biological, ecological, economic and social factors and processes that influence the effect land use and management has on soil, water, air, habitat and other resource or environmental concerns and form the basis for developing effective conservation and environmental management systems and strategies.
• Innovations in, evaluations of, or experience working with conservation and environmental management technologies, systems and tools designed to improve the management of soil, water, habitat and related natural resources.
• Water Use and Management — Learning to Live with Limits: Managing watersheds and water supplies, especially in periods of drought, to ensure adequate supplies of clean water for agriculture, ecosystems, communities and industry is a major challenge for conservationists.
• The Science of Targeting: Targeting — getting the right practices implemented in the right places and at the right time — is essential to achieving conservation and environmental objectives.
