This symposium will explore the value and ethic of water by considering water as it is perceived by different communities, peoples and entities throughout the world. It will consider how this precious liquid is valued and assessed with regard to economics and commerce, people and communities, the law, culture and religion, and others aspects of society that are impacted by water. It will also consider the role that water plays in human development, as well as the impact that development has had on water resources. The symposium will address the value and ethic of water at all levels of society, from the purely local to the global. Moreover, it will feature a diverse panel of experts representing equally diverse interests and backgrounds.
