The second GGRS will deal with GIS and Remote Sensing, with a focus on Global Change issues in developing countries. The main topics of this meeting are the following:

• land degradation and desertification
• management of forested landscapes
• management of agricultural and agroforestry landscapes
• dynamics of urban and peri-urban environments
• human health and epidemiology.
