The aim of this conference is to introduce, demonstrate and reflect upon the current status and use of ‘participation’ (participative techniques) in delivering the sustainability and environmental agenda and how organisations like CIWEM can respond to the developing agenda in a constructive and supportive way. The Objectives of the conference are as follows:
• To introduce the audience to participation, the concepts, context and language
• To provide evidence of success when applied to different subjects
• To capture a wide range of case study information
• To demonstrate how a range of techniques can be applied appropriately to resolve challenges including continuity of approach including partnerships
• To explore the issues arising not least to understanding how better support this developing trend.
You should attend if you work on environmental or sustainability projects which involve people – it will give you clear insights into how this area of work is developing
