Cooperation Fund for Water and Sanitation (FCAS) is a special voluntary fund grant offered by the Government of Spain in order to contribute to realizing the human right to water and sanitation, and accompany the partner countries Spanish Cooperation in Latin America in its progress towards the Millennium development Goals, promoting the expansion of the coverage of safe water and sanitation. The Fund finances activities worth 800 million euros, with a focus where it matters most: rural and peri-urban areas with less coverage of water and sanitation services.
