This session will be divided in two sections. Presenters will project the best lessons of how ecosystems have and can be embedded as a critical component of the Integrated Water Resource Management. Section 1: 2-3 presenters from top level experts representing leader organizations on the subject (TNC, IUCN, WWF, other...), transferring lessons related to three key issues and the way they support the IWRM: i) environmental flows, ii) financial mechanisms, and iii) infrastructure. This section will provide a technical understanding of the theme, solutions advances towards the targets in our region and the way they support a more robust IWRM. Such presentations will be complemented in Section 2 by 2-3 testimonies/vivid presentations from specific cases showcasing implementation of such trends. Includes presentations related to: i) Quito Water Fund; ii) Community-Based Management of environmental services payment schemes by members of CLOCSAS; and iii) environmental flow implementation. Specific obstacles to integrate green infrastructure and environmental services will be identified based on cases presented and the participation of the audience in the discussion.
