The objective of this sector study is to prepare Policy recommendations for Rural water supply and sanitation (RWSS) and an action plan for the formulation of a national strategy for sustainable development and management of water supply and sanitation services in rural areas that match the EU requirements. The general scope of this study is to review and analyze the current situation in the provision of water supply and sanitation services to rural communities and small centers not served by commercial utilities. Based on the analysis of the situation, the consultant will identify issues for further elaboration and develop those into policy recommendations. After discussing these with the main stakeholders the consultant will elaborate an action plan for the adoption of the RWSS policy and the formulation and adoption of the RWSS strategy.
