The European Commission has recently produced a proposal for a new Groundwater Directive. Defra has appointed Risk & Policy Analysts (RPA) to undertake a Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) to study the impact of the proposed Directive in the UK. RPA has produced a Partial RIA which identifies possible benefits, impacts and costs of the proposed Directive. Stakeholders are invited to comment on the RIA and on how they think the proposal will affect them.
Deadline for comments is 11 June 2004.
