The station for measurement and registry of sea waves located at La Coruña is one of the first measurement points of the REMRO (Spanish Network of Measurement and Registry of Sea waves). IT has been working from its opening AT 1983 and the information provided give us a large and extended data set that data set that allows us precise statistical studies of extreme values as wellas as descriptive studies of main storms and their return periods.
