The triennial UN World Water Development Report is a joint undertaking of 24 UN agencies comprising UN-Water in partnership with governments and other stakeholders, and coordinated by WWAP. Chapter 10 was coordinated by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (ISDR) and the United Nations University (UNU). Employing an integrated approach, this chapter explores some of the ways of better reducing human vulnerabilities and examines the recent developments in risk reduction strategies.
