[The Great Volga River Route: uniting the Seas (Baltic, Black and Caspian Seas) in favour of world heritage education for sustainable development with the support of ICTs]
The Great Volga River Route (GVRR) Project aims to bring young people together through the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) and engage them in Sustainable Development issues for the preservation and promotion of World Heritage and Biosphere Reserve sites.
This publication presents 45 sites from the 16 countries participating in this project. The sites have been chosen according to their geographical or economical proximity to the Volga River or the three seas. The publication also presents four exemplary case studies, each focusing on one of the four study topics conceived for the projects (sustainable development and economic social implications; sustainable development and preservation of the environment; sustainable development and cultural implications; sustainable development and information and communication technologies).
