The present report tries to be synthetic and, although it covers several thematics, is not exhaustive. It is one approach to a rigorous systematization of all the information available water. The cartography and the GIS represent essential components of this effort. The objectives of the present document are: · Develop a preliminary diagnosis of the state of knowledge on the use, the availability and the quality of the hydric resources, that will can serve as a guide during the process of definition of the hydric policies of Bolivia · Give some guidelines for the development of a GIS about water in Bolivia.
