Based on the comprehensive survey designed to assess progress and results of the application of integrated approaches to the development, management and use of water resources, the UN Water report includes a number of lessons learned and recommendations as well as a number of priority areas for action. The report also provides guidance for the establishment of a regular framework of monitoring and reporting worldwide that contribute to the promotion of sustainable development and management of water resources.
