This report reviews the policy and institutional landscape in the field of Risk Management of Drought in Africa and Asia, and identifies some key training needs in the management of this risk and the opportunities available to fill these gaps. The report highlights the priority areas to which the South-South interregional cooperation could bring added value, based on interviews with key figures from both continents, the survey conducted online among 400 professionals in the field of drought and First Forum on Drought Adaptation in Asia and Africa held in Bangkok, Thailand in June 2011.
