This course will cover two distinct areas: sewage systems and water treatment, recycling and conservation. We will examine alternatives to conventional sewage treatment works, off mains systems, best environmental practice and legal requirements. This will be followed by an examination of private water supplies: finding and storing water, grey water and rainwater recycling systems, and reducing domestic and commercial water use. Participants will work in groups to evaluate and produce solutions to real life case studies and you will receive advice and guidance as to which systems suit situations and how to size systems. The course is suitable for professionals and those wishing to develop their own systems
