Postgraduate Course "plains Hydrology - Surface Water Interaction - Underground"

Lun, 12/11/2012 / Vie, 16/11/2012

The course will aim to analyze the components of the water balance and its quantification and the formulation of the balance in the unsaturated zone and the aquifer in plains areas. Identify the processes involved in natural recharge from rainfall and update the main methods of estimation. To study the relationship surface and groundwater, not only as a technique for quantifying recharge, but as an element of its potential use in water planning set that are basic for hydrological environmental problem solving. Establish a conceptual model of functioning of surface water in plains areas, depending on their relationship with aquifers and environmental characterization, in order to define patterns of integrated and sustainable management of water resources in the region.
