The scientific programme of the General Assembly includes Union Symposia, Oral and Poster Sessions on disciplinary and interdisciplinary topics covering the full spectrum of the geosciences and the space and planetary sciences, Short Courses and Workshops, Key Note and Medal Lectures and Townhall and Splinter Meetings.

There are WLan Laptop/Mac stations on all levels and sites and an Internet Cafe in the general poster and exhibition area, sufficient seating areas for private discussions, rooms for rehearsals and previews of viewgraphs and CD-ROM presentations, as well as coffee stands and restaurants.

Participants will receive a pass for local transportation within Vienna free-of-charge.
