The conference "Preventing and Fighting Hydrological Disaster" has as a goal to gain the specialists' interest in order to answer the question: "is it possible to fight and especially to prevent a hydrological disaster?"

The exchange of opinion: in the scientific way of approach, in pointing out the results of some researches, application and recent experiences on the hydrological extremes with alarming frequency in the last years present a high interest.

The evaluation of the future actions of interdisciplinary research integrated at the chatchment scale, which have to have as a purpose especially the changes of climate variations on the one hand and of globalization and privatization of the water resources on the other hand, will be beneficial for the conference's results.
