The elements of a new data collection network called Reportnet are described in this report, which reflects a shared concern among the major stakeholders that European environmental reporting needs to be revised. The elements described consist of developing of an environmental information infrastructure and a set of new services based on it, aimed at streamlining reporting as well as making it less burdensome.
